Dr Tony Clarke is a Canadian activist, director of the Polaris Institute of Canada, and sits on the board of directors of the International Forum on Globalization (IFG). He was the chair of the Action Canada Network, supporting labor against the Canada-United States Free Trade Agreement. Dr. Walden Bello is professor of sociology and public admininstration at the University of the Philippines and executive director of Focus on the Global South, a program of research, analysis, and advocacy of the Chulalongkorn University Social Research Institute based in Bangkok. He has written numerous books & articles on Asian economic and political issues, including “A Siamese Tragedy: Development and Disintegration in Modern Thailand” and “Dark Victory: the US, Structural Adjustment and Global Poverty”.
