Dennis Marker - Author of ”FIFTEEN STEPS TO CORPORATE FEUDALISM” - How the Rich Convinced America’s Middle Class to Eliminate Themselves – From Ronald Reagan to the Tea Party Movement
–Our country’s at war, with the alarmingly powerful determined to destroy the middle class. This book serves as a counterpoint to those who deny the reality of America’s rapidly changing social landscape. We are dangerously close to cementing a permanent American catastrophe. This is a checklist of high crimes and misdemeanors and an urgent call to conscience and what needs to be done now.

Dr. Marilyn Joshua Williams - Chairperson of the Department of Elementary Education at Cal-State Northridge – Dr. Williams is being unseated for racially motivated reasons – is fighting back with help of the NAACP
–Dr. Williams is the first African-American elected Chairperson by the members in the department. But several in the department have now made it painfully clear they do not want an African-American to be their leader.
–Currently, Dr. Williams is being “unseated” as Chair without cause, with no official accusations of wrong doing, and without ever being given an evaluation. Williams claims the university is not following it’s own standard procedures.
–Claims the Dean of Education, Michael Spagna, is allowing the discrimination to continue, along with Interim Chair Craig Finney and three other members of the Department, who all have history of targeting minority faculty members
–The NAACP is now calling for a “Rigorous and thorough review by an outside group or groups to ensure that equity and fairness is clearly evident”
Dean Spagna overtly and covertly agreed with the perpetrators and manifestly REFUSED to seat Dr. Williams plainly because of the color of her skin. Dr. Williams has contacted the Office of Equity and Diversity three times for assistance related to Dean Spagna’s racist decision. He backed down – but in retaliation he exclaimed there needed to be a “cooling off” period, so he appointed a “Temporary” Chair instead. This conduct was insulting for two (2) reasons: (a) There was no explanation why a clearly insulting “cooling off period” was necessary (b) Dean Spagna appointed Craig Finney as Acting Chair for one semester, in spite of the fact that Mr. Finney has a documented reputation of discriminating against another African American Black female on campus, Veda Ward, the only other African American Chair on campus at the time, who has stated that Craig Finney had disrespected her.
There is documentation of further attempts at retaliation, harassment, and persistent attempts to discredit Dr. Williams. In addition to Dr. Williams, other faculty of color have come under attack by Dr. Nancy O’Rode, such as Shartirya Collier (African American), John Reveles (Latino), and Shiuli Mulkophadhay (Indian). Additionally, Dr. Nancy O’Rode has attempted to bully and discredit Susan Belgrad (Jewish). Dean Spagna is fully aware of the racial and religious discrimination that is currently occurring and has not tried to stop it.
In fact, on at least three occasions, he participated in the discrimination. On December 9, 2011, Dean Spagna, Craig Finney, Nancy O’Rode, and Hillary Hertzog raided the storage unit in an attempt to prove that black women stole property. The SAPESS program (run by Dr. Williams) stores its supplies in the storage unit. There was no proper law enforcement authority present to record the evidence and initiate a chain of custody.
This was an obvious racially motivated move as Dr. Williams has run SAPESS exactly the same way for 6 years. The only difference is that she is now Chair – and three of the same faculty that opposed her being seated have been on a witchhunt to find some evidence of wrongdoing.
Not deterred by failure, Dean Spagna is bringing in an outside auditor to examine SAPESS, forcing Dr. Williams to endure racially motivated audits. Dean Spagna has stated he is exercising his authority to step in as Director of the Center, and strip away her authority as Director of the Department. This conduct is unprecedented and has been exercised only against he
