-Easter week in Latin America (called Semana Santa) can be a truly crazy and some say, nerve wracking experience for gringos and expats. Here’s why….
-Because the “gringo advantage” is alive and well especially off the tourist trail, eventually you will meet a Latin person with a gringoized name that seems so tacky or wacky that you think it must be some kind or nickname or inside joke. But don’t assume. Don’t assume anything! Just try not to laugh… that would be rude.
Our Special Guest tonight is Pastor Rose Banks of the Colorado Springs Fellowship Church, located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She along with others will share with our listenening audience how the Church and some of its member’s religious rights were violated by the gov’t obtained their banking records without subpoenas, harrassed members on their jobs, showed up at their homes and questioned their neighbors while conducting a Federal investigation against the IRP6 in Colorado, who are all serving 7-11 years each in prison for mail/wire-fraud, a crime they didn’t commit!
Dr. Jack Rasmus analyzes US 1st Quarter GDP numbers, where US economic growth flattened out to a mere 0.2%–the fourth such collapse in the US economy in as many years. Is it due to the weather, as some argue? Is there something wrong with US statistics, showing four collapses since 2009 all occurring in the winter? Or are there real economic explanations for why the US economy periodically surges in the summer then stalls out in the winter, as it has since 2011? Will this winter 2015’s stall be followed by another ‘temporary surge’ in growth this summer?
