“How Education Suppresses Initiative.” We like to think of our schools as progressive, but they certainly don’t encourage initiative or independent thought. From Adderall and Ritalin to group-think, we train ourselves to avoid challenging dominant thought. Download this episode (right click and save)

On the program our guest, the distinguished Admiral James, “Ace” Lyons, discusses the shocking US government cover up of the intent of the Pearl Harbor attack and intelligence intentionally withheld, indicating the attack was imminent; all of which was, essentially, a false flag to lead America to war. In reality, the Japanese attempted to broker peace, which was rejected by President Franklin D. …
Deborah Tabart OAM, CEO of the Australian Koala Foundation, is fondly known as the Koala Woman. She has been at her post since February 1988. At that time she was told to raise $5m and “save the Koala.” Since then, Deborah has focussed her attention on mapping Koala habitat. If you cannot save a habitat, you will never save any species. The AKF takes no Government funding and has, over the years spoken more and more confidently about the plight of the Koala. The AKF scientifically estimates there are between 50,000 and 100,000 Koalas in the wild remaining. Deborah believes that the lower number is the accurate figure. Between 1890 and 1927, the AKF has found manifests for 8m koala skins which were sold on the New York and London fur market. Today we discuss the plight of the koalas.
My guest Danish physician Peter Gøtzsche is the cutting edge of psychiatric reform in Europe. Although an internist and highly respected researcher in general medicine, he has now turned his attention to psychiatry and been dismayed. He is devoting himself to stopping psychiatric oppression and to promoting better alternatives. A researcher, educator, and politically astute man, he is turning his critique into live action on the political stage and in the delivery of services. A rousing, don’t-miss exchange between the two of us!
Richard “Red” Lawhern is a brilliant, passionate, hardworking nonmedical advocate for pain patients. Listen to this show and you will never look at pain medications in same light. Unlike psychiatric drugs, we both find that opiate and opioid pain medications are often under-prescribed. The under-prescribing of opiates is partly because of the fear of addiction, and partly because drug companies push more expensive drugs that do not work as well and cause more harm. Richard explains how the DEA has intruded into the practice of medicine, setting standards for doctors that are robbing patients of adequate medication coverage for pain, sometimes causing these patients to resort to street drugs with the risk of death by unintentional overdose. Having lost the War Against Drugs, has the DEA attacked a softer target, making a War on Doctors and their Pain Patients? Maybe so.
There are many paths to a good life. Some are just more rigorously studied than others. Across many years — and many peer-reviewed papers — psychology researchers have time and again identified two personality traits that tend to correlate with greater well-being: One is extroversion — as in, the more extroverted you are, the more likely you are to be …
David talks with British GP Malcolm Kendrick about the many myths of modern medicine, starting with the cholesterol myth and the recommendation for a low fat diet. Later the conversation veers into other myths that allopathic medicine promulgates but that Kendrick opposes.
In November 2016, I reported on six studies that found strong relationships between biomarkers for mercury toxicity in children with autism including a direct correlation between the levels of mercury toxicity and the severity of autism symptoms. Those findings are supported by recent research that links industrial exposures of lead, mercury and arsenic to the prevalence of autism spectrum disorder …
