Welcome, to the radio magazine that brings you news, commentary and analysis from a Black Left perspective. I’m Glen Ford, along with my co-host, Nellie Bailey. Coming up: the MOVE organization will hold a three day event to dispel confusion about why the Philadelphia police killed 11 of their members, burned out a whole city block, and put nine MOVE people in prison for life, in the 1970s and 80s; and, an advocate for the people of the Congo says it may be a good thing that Donald Trump doesn’t yet have a policy on Africa.

Dr. Mark Schoen, a sex educator and a filmmaker, returned to the program. His website www.SexSmartFilms.com is Netflix of sex education – and a sex educator’s dream come true! The most viewed videos – of the 430 films on the site – are the Sensate Focus Exercises, the Science of Orgasm, the True Story of How Babies are Made, the Science of Attraction, and TRANS (about transgendered folks dealing with discrimination and rejection). Under the Education category on the site is Disability. Dr. Mark has paired with Dr. Mitch Tepper to make the next documentary: “Making Love after War,” and the pilot can be viewed on SSF. We hear the story of Aaron and Kat, but these kinds of stories are heard over and over – according to the filmmaker. They both will be on the program as they get closer to the conclusion. Tune in for a preview!

Nick Turse – Tomgram: Nick Turse, Special Ops, Shadow Wars, and the Golden Age of the Gray Zone

Don’t think the fad for “draining the swamp” began on the campaign trail with Donald Trump.  It didn’t, although the “swamp” to be drained in the days after the 9/11 attacks wasn’t in Washington; it was a global one.  Of course, that’s ancient history, more than 15 years old.  Who even remembers that moment, though we still live with its …
