James S. Gordon, MD, is a Harvard-trained psychiatrist, former researcher at the National Institute of Mental Health and Chairman of the White House Commission on Complementary and Alternative Medicine Policy, and a clinical professor of psychiatry and family medicine at Georgetown Medical School. He has authored or edited 10 other books and has written often for The New York TimesThe Washington Post, and The Atlantic, as well as numerous professional journals, and has been featured on CBS 60 Minutes, The Today Show, Good Morning America, CBS Sunday Morning, Nightline, CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, and NPR.

Kathryn Davis is a Qigong Teacher, a facilitator of Meditation and Mind/body Relaxation Techniques, a practitioner of Reiki, Spiritually guided life force energy and the Sandlin Technique, and Indigenous healing based on Vision Quest and Shamanic Insight. She is founder of the Ku Li Sheng™, Healing System, which includes a Qigong form, postures and healing technologies.
