What I have learned on this fitness journey is that accountability is key! In the past, every time I would start a new workout or try a new eating plan, I would sabotage myself after a couple of weeks because I was trying to do it alone and trying to rely on my own will power. Once I started drinking Shakeology and implementing the nutrition plan Beachbody offers, I gained more energy and was able to be more active on a consistent basis. I actually began to enjoy working out every day. My increase in energy led me to train for races and complete them: 5Ks, 10Ks, 10 Milers and Half Marathons.
I then started doing PIYO (a pilates-yoga fusion program) and gained more strength and flexibility than ever and even some of the injuries I had sustained from running and spin class virtually disappeared with the consistent stretching and strength training of PIYO. Since PIYO I’ve successfully completed other Beachbody programs like The Master’s Hammer and Chisel, 21 Day Fix and 21 Day Fix Extreme. Now I’m getting started on a new meal plan and fitness program called Shift Shop and I can’t wait to see the results that are in store for me. I am so excited because I know even more lifestyle changes are ahead and I am on the road to becoming my healthiest and fittest self ever. What an awesome journey!
